We want your Foo Fighters reviews!

Dave Grohl and his merry men are currently ripping roofs off arenas across the country and we want to know what you think. Did the Foos live up to expectations? To get you started, our Triple M scribes posted their own reviews.
Acer Arena, Sydney - Friday May 2
"We used to play an hour and a quarter - we used to suck," declared Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl early on Friday night. "Now we play as long as you want. Now we've got thirteen years of shit to play!"
And play they did. Grohl and his second most-famous band (which includes Chris Schiflett, Nate Mendell and Taylor Hawkins) powered through a massive four-part set that came in just shy of three hours and never seemed to run out of breath.
Sydney's Acer Arena is a damn big place to entertain but boy, this band knew how to do it. In addition to two side risers and four huge video screens, the main stage featured a 50 metre runway down the centre of the moshpit which Grohl ran up and down, still riffing, proving not only is he the most charismatic frontman around, he's one of the fittest too.
They kicked off the show with newies 'Let It Die' and 'The Pretender' before roaring into a mammoth greatest hits set that included 'Breakout', 'Learn to Fly' and 'This is a Call'. Halfway through the night, a huge circular stage rig descended at the end of the runway with the band joined there by five other musos including a celloist, accordion player and Foo Fighters version 1.0 guitarist Pat Smear.
This 'quieter' chapter of the night featured a rousing acoustic version of 'My Hero' with 20,000 people singing along and Grohl performing 'Marigold', the Nirvana B-side to 'Heart Shaped Box' (and the only Nirvana song not to feature Kurt Cobain). It was followed by a hilarious triangle solo with Grohl promising it'll "knock your dick in the dirt." Everlong was brilliant as always - starting with Grohl in the centre of the arena under a long spotlight before exploding halfway through with a full band.
The night wound on and the hits kept coming including perhaps the world's most generous encore of six songs. Finishing up with 'Best of You' just before midnight, the audience left satisfied, exhausted and assured that the Foos had indeed given us their very best.
Sydney Setlist:
Let it die / The Pretender / Times like these / Breakout / Learn to Fly / Cheer Up Boys / This is a Call / Stacked Actors (drum solo) / Skin and Bones / Marigold / My Hero / Cold day in the sun / But Honestly / The Ballad of Beaconsfield / Everlong / Monkey Wrench / All my life / Big Me / Long road to ruin / Generator / Watershed / For all the cows / Best of You
Adelaide Entertainment Centre - Thursday April 24
They came, they saw, they conquered - Foo Fighters rocked the Adelaide Entertainment Centre like they haven't since, well, 12 years ago!
It's amazing to think that Foo Fighters first toured Australia over a decade ago. Back in 1996, they were a mid-level group with a recently released debut album, coming on before the Beastie Boys and Sonic Youth at the once-only Summerfest festival. This time around they played to a packed out stadium, with support coming from Kaki King and Sydney blues duo the Mess Hall.
There's no doubt that it was the Foos that the crowd were there to see - and, naturally enough, they didn't disappoint!
Ripping into "Let It Die", the band brought the rock and brought it loud and hard, ripping through a clutch of tunes in quick-smart fashion, including the latest hit "The Pretender", "Times Like These", "Breakout" and "Learn To Fly", before finishing the first set with a blistering "Stacked Actors".
Before the baying cheers had subsided, the four-piece, augmented by four additional performers, performed an acoustic set from a stage lowered to the middle of the Ent Cent. While drummer Taylor Hawkins sang "But Honestly", the biggest surprise was the performance of rare Nirvana b-side "Marigold".
Kaki King performed with the band on "Ballad of the Beaconsfield Miners", and soon the band were back on the main stage to rip through the final section of their set. The encore saw a delightful take on "Big Me", before the night was seemingly over before it began, with Foo Fighters finishing their set with "Best of You".
For those taking in the band interstate, there's some hilarious surprises...but we wouldn't want to spoil it for you!
Have you seen Foo Fighters on this tour? Did they rock your world?

dave i think they were talking about the rox where they played alongside Pacifier and Superheist... tickets only costing $30!
I was there and it did only hold about 50 people and they did play for just over an hour..
They came back the following year to play the Big Day Out 2003. Pacifier also came back.

I caught the Foos in Brissie and loved em. The new album doesnt blow my head off but live the band totally make amends.
It helped that the crowd were super-amped too. Top gig!

Caught em in Melbourne last weekend and they're wicked. It's such a shame Dave is married... he's the coolest guy on the planet.

I saw them at the Opera House doing an acoustic set. The tickets in the 6th row were well worth my 13 hour wait in the pouring rain! Dave Grohl is AMAZING!!!

This was my first concert I have been to as I'm only 9 but it will be the concert I will remember forever. The Fooies are the BEST!!!

The Fooies at Acer on Friday night were spectacular. Dave was awesome, although a little off with his singing early on in the night. But the six encore songs were great!

My husband was coming along "just for company" to the Fooies Friday, as he isn't quite the fan I am - however he is now a converted man.
Even after he has seen Kiss more times than I can remember - he rates this as the best concert he has ever been to.
I, of course, could not agree more. They rocked! They had the crowd right from the start and from what I can tell - nobody left disappointed. Top gig!!

I saw the Fooies in Melbourne (both shows) and Sydney (both shows) - all 4 shows were brilliant with the basis being the same, but they played additional different songs each night.
I'm from Melbourne - and it kills me to say it - but the Sydney crowd went hard all night, they rocked. Honestly, I couldn't even compare the two.

9.99/10 concert.
Close to perfection from a band of legends - season pros.
First time ever I've seen the audience get exhausted before the band, I was stuffed and satisfied at the same time.
I will always go to Foo Fighters when they come down whenever. Just awesome!

I'm 50 and attended the Sydney show on Saturday with my four children (ages 13 to 22).
I thought I was going to have a heart attack during the first song (so loud) and thought Dave Grohl's voice was off (was he drunk!), but after that settled in and really enjoyed it (ears still ringing now). Dave Grohl is extremely charismatic - love him.

I saw the Foo on Saturday night at Acer Arena, & I must say it was a mind blowing concert. Dave Grohl really knows how to entertain. They played so well & added some humour & great crowd interaction along the way. The mosh pit was bitchin & everyone had a top night. Thier 5-6 song encore was brilliant. By far the best concert I have ever been too.

I was Speachless! Awesome show. Followed Dave in Nirvana and most impressed by his talent in the Fooies. Real crowd pleaser and excellent stage setup meant everyone got a good view. I rocked on in the car and was happy to have no voice and ringing ears when I left the show.

Awesome concert! Ive seen a few bands but this would have to be up there with the best! Not only did the music rock but the performance quality was pure gold! Dave is not only a great singer but a highly entertaining and likeable character, ive never laughed so much in a concert before. Will be back for Another Round whenever theyre back in Syd, theyve made a lifelong fan!
