On Life for Dummies we wanna know your rules for office cards.
They come in birthday form, farewell form and even anniversary form. We've all signed one and we've probably all received one, but what are the rules surrounding office cards?
Do you write in it if you've never spoken to the person? Do you have to write something nice or funny? Or is it your time to write what you really feel about the person? And how long can you hold a card while thinking what to write?
We're wanna get some guidelines for office cards, so tell us what you think!

I find office cards either good or annoying depending on the person.
I mean office cards are cool if they're for someone you really liked, but if not then what's the point (especially if you have to donate money!)?

Every time a card came round I signed it regardless of whether I knew the person or even liked them.
I figured that when I left I'd get the same treatment and sure enough I did. People I didn't even know signed my card!

I still get christmas cards from an old workplace's clients with personal messages ("Dear Cath, You've done such a great job for us this year, really apprecitate your work on project X...") - My employer didn't tell them I had left!

Cards are a good waste of paper. Heard about singing happy birthday or some old farewell song?
Please, use email/e-cards over paper cards that not only waste the environment but cost a mint these days. It saves worrying about what speel you have to give.

I don't think there is any point in signing a card for someone you don't really know. I like to be the person that organises the card so I can write last and see what everyone else has written!
