Schapelle Corby: have you changed your mind?
Posted by MMMusic Wednesday 25 June, 2008 07:40 AM
Channel Nine's explosive documentary Schapelle Corby: The Hidden Truth finished up last night and The Shebang wants to know - did it change your mind about her case?
The expose eerily coincided with the news this week that Corby is reportedly close to suicide in recent weeks. Suffering from depression, she has lost 12 kilograms since losing her final appeal in March this year.
She is currently serving a sentence of 20 years in a Balinese jail after being found guilty of importing 4.2 kilograms of marijuana into the Indonesian island in her bodyboard bag in 2004.
So let us know - what do you think? Has this changed your mind about Schapelle's case? And did the doco really reveal 'The Truth'?

I'm still confused as ever... something is dodgy in that family and maybe Schapelle got caught up in the middle.
Guilty or not, I feel for the poor girl suffering in the jail... and the endless media speculation.

I agree with Paul... if she isnt innocent, why would let a film crew follow her around for three years?

Marty is so wrong... he said schapelle's gone on suicide watch just to gain sympathy with people. what a load of rubbish...
maybe it's because she's in a rat-infested jail with no contact with the outside world. that'd do it!

Very clever, I think they knew that the only chance she will ever have of getting out of there is to keep the pressure on. This doco was planned all along to be aired once the hype died down and everyone had forgotten about her. I had forgotten and had previously thought she had done it but now I'm not too sure....clever...

I think the family are more clever that people give them credit for. Something fishy is going on, enough to say she is definately NOT innocent. If you lie enough about 1 thing, you end up beieving it so much, even a lie detector is fooled!

From what I have seen I believe that the family is guilty. Someone knows about the dope and put it there - not necessarily Schapelle - I think she's taking the fall. I also think that the drug smuggler dude has a lot to do with it but he's waiting for his court sentencing on the matter and then he will reveal - double jeopardy - cant be tried twice for the same crime. Wait and see people...

Why hasnt she taken a lie detecter test? When you pick up a 2kg boogie board & it has 4kgs of dope in it, I sure as hell would have noticed the weight differance.
What 28 year old female would bother to take a boogie board all the way to Bali, especially when your sister lives there?

It's all too fish to be completely coincidental, but I think she's covering for other people.

Hi ,there is something fishy in that family, why would you take a boogie board to bali when everything you buy over there is as cheap as chips.
we have been to bali twice and i would not lug a big thing like that all the way over there.something sus about the step brother, and mercedes

It is very hard with this one.
But - now I have made my personal decision.
I think she is GUILTY as charged due to the anxiety and depression that she is hospitalised for. It is because she is carrying too much guilt! I dont judge other but if it was me I would just fess up then feel a bit better (But still be stuck in a Bali goal)....Shaz

I think the half brother is the guilty party.

Jesus Mary and Josephine!!!aren't there more serious crimes to ponder? Sitting in jail fpr twenty years for Marijuana? I think I will never go eat indonesian or thai food again, what raving morons!!!

I think she is guilty by accossiation with her stupid family. Someone (maybe her step brother"where is he from and is it the mum's son or dad's son? he does not seem to speek english very well) in the family knows who did it. But no matter if she is guilty or innocent the families behaviour in Bali stuffed any chance of her being found innocent. Pity she didnt just claim to be a drug addict she would have got a light sentence and with her families background the Indonesian Government would have believed she was a dope addict.

How would you not notice an exta 4kgs in your boogie bag? She got what she deserved.
Sends a strong message to other would be drug smugglers if you're gonna do the crime you're gonna do the time!

If I was guilty I would realise one thing - hey I did it, I got caught and that is that I would be quiet and do my time.
But if I did not do it I would be acting just like Schapelle crying, losing weight, having thoughts of suicide and depression.
When you're innocent that's how you act.
Just look at her eyes when she talks - there is no lying in those eyes.
Nobody is dumb enough to think they can go through two airports with that clear big bag of pot. Think about it - she is not guilty.

why would anyone think this girl is guilty give me a break she is innocent and people need to realize that.

I believe with all of my heart that Schapelle is innocent, and a complete victim of circumstance. I do agree that her family may know more than what they are portraying, but she is in the wrong place. That is not where and innocent girl belongs.....my heart truely goes out to her! If i had more i would do everything in my power to help free her. She has done nothing wrong and has already wasted 4 years of her life for a crime she DID NOT commit.
I just wish i could help the poor girl out!

The film made it clear that Schapelle's trial was unfair and that under the court room trickery there is a case of injustice.
