AC/DC confirm new single, album and world tour!
Posted by Triple M Monday 18 August, 2008 02:04 PM

In breaking news, we can confirm - finally, gloriously, thankfully - that AC/DC will release their new album Black Ice on Saturday October 18.
Their Aussie record label Albert Productions and Sony BMG Australia confirmed the news today, ending months of frantic speculation.
:: View our AC/DC Retrospective photo gallery
Featuring 15 new tracks, Black Ice will be the band's first studio album since the release of Stiff Upper Lip back in 2000 and their debut record for Columbia Records (their 18th for Australia's Albert Productions).
The album was produced by Brendan O'Brien (who's worked with Pearl Jam, Neil Young and Bruce Springsteen in the past) at the Warehouse Studio in Vancouver, Canada.
The first single will be 'Rock 'n' Roll Train' which hits radio Thursday August 28. The band shot a live performance for the video last Friday.
AC/DC will embark on a major world tour - the group's first since 2001 - beginning in late October. Watch this space for details on Aussie dates.
In other news, the band will release No Bull: The Director's Cut on August 30, 2008. Featuring an expanded version of their historic performance at Madrid's Plaza de Toros de Las Ventas on July 10, 1996, the concert footage has been remixed in Dolby Digital Stereo and Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround Sound with a load of bonus features.
The tracklisting for Black Ice is:
'Rock 'n' Roll Train'
'Skies on Fire'
'Big Jack'
'Anything Goes'
'War Machine'
'Smash n Grab'
'Spoilin' for a Fight'
'Wheels'
'Decibel'
'Stormy May Day'
'She Likes Rock 'n' Roll'
'Money Made'
'Rock'n'Roll Dream'
'Rocking All the Way'
'Black Ice'

I think this is an awesome experience for all to go and see. The young ones of today have no idea of what 'Rock & Roll' is really about and will hopefully bring them back to good hard rock instead of crap dance/techno stuff. Bring it on! "LIVE LIFE"

HELLS BELLS. Bring that shit on. Can't wait.

Hopefully it's better than stiff upper lip, which I listened to once. Phill Rudd is drumming, not Simon Wright as was mentioned tonight.
Andy, I suggest you go back to listening to Hinder and nickelback... I can see them still around in 30 years off the back of their latest albums.

I've been bursting at the seams to see these guys live again.
It's Great to see bands like Dirty Deeds keep the dream alive but nothing beats the real thing. Rock on triple m.

This is fantastic news, was great to hear phil is back in the mix for a while now. For all who does not like Brian, simple, dont buy their music.
For me, I think he has done better than any could have, Bons shoes were impossibly huge to fill, Brian is fantastic.
I think this album will be TNT they have done well with all of their albums, I have them all to date, less black ice, which will be in my collection the day it comes out! Very excited, they are my fav band. But have only seen them one time, it was electric too! their SUL tour, fantastic!!!

Finally the best in the business. No more of that Nickleback/Hinder crap.
Has anyone heard of who is supporting? Will it be Rose Tattoo or Airbourne? Just hope it aint any lame crap like Finger11.

i am 47 and grew up in the hills area where angus did. we paid 1 dollar on a friday night to see them at the harvey lowe pavilion at castle hill with about ten of us there. loved them then, and can not get enough now.

I hope SONY/BMG don't charge a arm & leg to buy the album when it's released. Make the price of the CD low so all AC/DC fans can afford to buy it & not charge over $30 retail price. Something under $20 would be great.

Saw AC/DC in 91 at the tennis centre in Melbourne. They were awesome. Put it this way dude, I'll be selling a kidney if it means going to this. Don,t think they would have many more world tours left in the bank....

AC/DC rock i've seen the last three shows in Australia and no other band has kicked their ass yet
Posted by karen Wednesday 10 September, 2008 08:42 AM
Been to heaps of concerts, always praised Kiss for their concerts, love 'em. But when I saw AC/DC for the first time at the Tennis Centre, I was blown away.
Apart from Kiss, one of THE best concerts I have ever been too. Everyone was rockin' and that's the way it should be.
Lookin' forward to the next tour and am planning to take my 13 yr old to show her what real rock is about.
Youngsters these days with their rap crap etc, have no idea what a good sound is. Luv yas!

I HAVE BEEN DREAMING ABOUT ACDC REALESING A FOLLOW UP ALBUM TO STIFF UPPER LIP FOR AT LEAST FOUR YEARS NOW. NOW IT IS LESS THAN ONE WEEK.
I CAN"T WAIT.....

Holy crap This is awesome stuff. Brians on fire, Guitar riffs that give you goose bumps, solos that make the hair on the back of your neck stand up, and of course that famous RUDD THUDD or God as I call him. Welcome back boys!!!!!!!!!!!
Posted by Rick Ashe Thursday 16 October, 2008 10:34 PM
I saw AC/DC in 02 'Stiff Upper Lip' Tour in Brizzy, they rocked then - and they still rock now!!!!
Andy you must be pretty clueless - maybe you should read up a bit about them and see how popular they've been since Bon died. 'Decent tune since Bon died'... try BACK IN BLACK, ROCK N ROLL AIN'T NOISE POLLUTION and YOU SHOOK ME ALL NIGHT LONG!!!!!!!!!!!! You've no idea mate... no idea!!!!
Posted by Katie Wednesday 29 October, 2008 08:11 PM
I saw AC/DC for the first time in Melbourne for their Back in Black tour and have not missed a concert since.
Their energy, the production, and power of all that is rock and roll is an experience that is impossible to describe.
Then there is Angus... there are no words... you just have to see him... the Grin on his face says it all... he bloody loves it.!
I don't care what it costs and I may fly south to take in 2 concerts... absolute value for money at every turn...
Life long fan... and I'm now 43... Bring it on!
