U2 set to unveil new album by year's end

U2 seem almost certain to unleash their latest opus upon the masses later in 2008.
The album, the Irish band's twelfth, is reportedly titled No Line on the Horizon and it has been given a tentative release date of November 14.
Among the cuts likely to appear on the album are "The Cedars of Lebanon", "One Bird", "For Your Love" and the title track.
The album will arrive four years after the release of How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb, which spawned great singles such as "Vertigo" and "City of Blinding Lights" but perhaps was not, when all is said and done, such a great album.
Can their twelfth album possibly match the quality the band have unleashed lately, with the first three classic albums Boy, October, and War all being given the deluxe album re-release treatment?
What do you think - has U2's time as a band making great albums (as opposed to great singles) come and gone?

Rumour out is that the first single to be released in October will be called "Sexy Boots".
U2's time come and gone? They're just starting!
And I have to say, thank you 2MMM for making my day bearable by playing all the U2 that you do. It's not enough though!
No Line on The Horizon will be nothing short of spectacular.

Come and gone??? The beauty of U2 is every 7-8 years the completely re invent themselves. No Line On The Horizon will be as great as it is new.

I heard bits of those 'leaked' songs. The more clear portions (beach sounds aside) sounded amazing. But then, I'm a Brian Eno fan, and I think they gave Eno/Lanois more room to play with the music, as with Achtung Baby and Zooropa

I love all the U2 the MMM play keep it up. They are still the best band in the world looking forward to new album and a tour to follow.
