Would you have a pet pig?

Would you have a pet pig?
Hamish and Kym are getting along famously, but would you have a pet pig?
What would stop you having a pig for a pet?
Do you think that pets could replace man's best friend?

My son, Hamish, reckons he could have a pet pig but he'd have to call his Kim.

I find this quite dissapointing and very irresponsible. To promote Pets Paradise and what they stand for, exploiting animals for profit under the cruelest of conditions. I would have hoped there would have been a bit more research done before promoting this. The AWL and RSPCA will be unable to re-home the pigs that are bought on an impulse as a result of this stunt. There are many responsible pet owners and industry stakeholders that are very concerned for what is to come of this.

absolutely. Would be a great companion for my shepherd.
Couldn't call it Hamish though as I already have brother with same name.

I don't need a pig for a pet. I have a son who's 24 and doesn't know how to keep his room tidy! But I do have a cute little (fluffball) dog called Nina who is adorable. I think I'll stick to what i know.

I would love to have a pig for a pet. I mentioned it to my 2½ year old daughter and thinks we are getting one "tomorrow". When Daddy was fixing the fences at home yesterday she asked if it was because the pig was coming!!!

YES, I would have one as a pet! As a small child in Africa, I went to a farm for every school holiday, and learnt that pigs are smart and mischevious, and remember people that they like and dislike. Local Council might stop me from having one as a pet! Pigs are just as faithful as a dog or cat, apparently they are in fact more intelligent than dogs!!

Before you even think about buying a pet pig from pets paradise do the research. I have recently been in contact with the mini pig breeders association of australia and the breeder that they use IS NOT registered as a mini pig breeder. There is no guarantee that the cute little piggie you bring home wont turn into a pig much bigger than you expected. Please think about this carefully for your sake and for the pigs.
