Grand Final Memories

One of the great Grand Finals ever was when Geelong took on Hawthorn back in 1989, it was a real ding-dong battle. What GF memories do you have? It might be an incident that happened, a miraculous goal or just that your team won? Tell us all about it right here.

The first ever Grand Final I went to was when i was 11. Dad took me to the G in 1977 to see North vs Collingwood, I only got to go because aomeone in the group was ill and couldn't go. As a kid sitting 7 seats back from the fence it was amazing. When the final siren went, I didn't quite understand what had happened. Watching all the player hold their heads and lie down on the ground. It was a draw, scores were level at the end, talk about a cliff hanger. I didn't get to go to the replay, but as a kid you couldn't ask for a more exciting first Grand Final.

i loved it that my dream came true we took on the cats and beat them in a Grand Final and spoilt their party as i told the listeners we would no Saturday morning when i met all the crew at the MCG .
Thank you for letting me spend some time chatting with Pete , Myf and Co you guys are great .

this as i told you was my first ever Grand Final and i loved it , it was great getting on the ground to do the banner as well the noise was unbelievable , i hope to experience it again . From Jenelle
