Kurt Cobain's Ashes - smoke 'em if you got 'em!

In weird and wacky news, it's been revealed a German conceptual artist intends to smoke some of Kurt Cobain's ashes as the finale of a five part exhibition called Set Me Free.
Natascha Stellmach intends to smoke his ashes in a cigarette as a means of releasing the Nirvana frontman's spirit "...from the media circus and into the ether".
While refusing to reveal how she acquired the ashes of the 'Smells Like Teen Spirit' hitmaker, she's claimed in Artworld Magazine it's "...confidential and kind of magic. They came to me. And I am setting him free."
The ashes are currently being kept in an engraved antique case, and while refusing to reveal WHERE the performance piece will take place, she has said that it "...represents both the completion of the conceptual project and the final act in an exhibition bound to provoke wide public debate."
Do you think it'll do this or will it be too disgusting/disrespectful for words?
Which is worse? An artist smoking Kurt's ashes or Rolling Stones legend Keith Richards claiming to have snorted some of the ashes of his deceased father?

That's so wrong on so many levels... she's just trying to get famous. What a dope

Think - would Kurt want this? For his death to carry on for all these years? For some woman he doesn't even know to smoke him to become famous? It's not a question of whether the actual act is gross or not - it's about respecting Kurt Cobain, which is obviously what this lady is claiming to do. Yet this is probably the most disrespectful thing I've seen happen to Kurt in quite a while.
Aren't the police going to step in and confiscate the ashes from her? Surely it's being disrespectful to do this? I don't necessarily like Courtney Love that much, but I'd much rather see her with the ashes then some bloody artist.
