AMAZING!!!
For those who want an Appetite for Destruction album... you will be disappointed.
For those who have an OPEN mind... THIS IS MASTERPIECE!!!!
AXL IS GENIUS!!!

I pick up my copy today, the shipment came in early.
How ironic that after 15 years we get it a day ahead of schedule.
I will love it! I'll let you know how much after my first listen. G n R Rule Rock n' Roll.

Love your comment Jase and Dan.
Obviously you guys are appreciators of Axl and not the idiotic Axl bashers that waste our time with there useless coments.
We should party sometime!!!

Album of the year!!
Posted by Deion Friday 21 November, 2008 03:00 PM
Album of the year, Greatest Album of all time. Axl is THE god of rock and roll.
Posted by Mark Friday 21 November, 2008 04:21 PM
Just a few songs in and already Chinese Democracy is amazing.
Offering in your face rocks songs (Appetite style) with the title track and 'Shacklers Revenge' and a powerful ballad in 'The Blues' that had the women in the room swooning.
And 'Better' may be the radio smash gnr fans have been waiting for.
Bring on the rest of the album!!!!
Posted by Chris Friday 21 November, 2008 04:24 PM
Mmmm? GNR? Maybe it rocks but it don't rock my world.
sorry.
Posted by Keith Burns Friday 21 November, 2008 04:34 PM
Bring on the tour now!!!
Posted by Mark Friday 21 November, 2008 04:38 PM
Heard the first half so far at the listening party. So far so great!
Sure it's not Appetite for Destruction, but more of a modern sounding rock album with many elements and differences in songs.
So far favourites are Chinese Democracy, Shacklers Revenge & Riad & the Bedouins.
Posted by Engelbert ter Kuile Friday 21 November, 2008 04:48 PM
Loved "Scraped" and "Riad n' the Bedouins" brilliant tracks, classic G'N'R!
Only bad thing about this release is the CD cover! Can't imagine why he put a bike on it!
Must buy this if you really love rock and roll! Listening to last few songs now.......
Posted by Jack Duff Friday 21 November, 2008 04:57 PM
The wait was worth it, Axl has managed to bring back sounds reminiscent of GNR's previous work, and with tracks like 'Better', 'Street Of Dreams', and 'There was a Time', having an epic sound to them, and tracks like 'Sorry' showing the softer rock side that Axl has been known to show.
The guitar still yearns for a touch of Slash but nevertheless some awesome riffs throughout the entire album.
Posted by Wade Sargant Friday 21 November, 2008 05:03 PM
An amazing album from start to finish.
I expected a couple of average songs at some stage but not on this album.
This sits just behind Use Your Illusion 2 - sensational, much softer but well worth the wait.
Posted by Kris Hague Friday 21 November, 2008 05:06 PM
On the last track now. Great album, go buy a copy. You won't be disappointed.
A lot of variety in songs - it's a more modern sounding Axl. Madagascar & Prostitute are epics. I love this album!
Posted by Engelbert Friday 21 November, 2008 05:11 PM
Wow, the album is over and it has blown me away!
'Sorry' is a dark song and I wouldn't wanna be the subject of the lyrics.
The best way to describe the way the album ends is epic. The final 3 tracks are monsters.
Go buy this beast!!!
Thanks Triple M FOR THE FIRST LISTEN!!!

Masterpiece... This I love will be the new November Rain...
Posted by Diamond Dave Friday 21 November, 2008 05:53 PM
He used the bike as the cover because the photo was taken on their world tour in the early 2000's.
Axl was touched by the fact that some would risk being put in prison by painting Guns N' Roses on a wall... Thats a rumour..a apparently he showed it to a crowd in China once...
I bought it today too, Album of the Year....
Posted by deadstar Friday 21 November, 2008 06:24 PM
What an awesome album! Well worth the wait!
'Sorry', 'Better', 'Riad N' The Bedouins' are standouts!
Posted by Jamie Friday 21 November, 2008 09:08 PM
Chinese Democracy album of the year. Axl Rose greatest lead singer of all TIME!
Posted by costa76 Saturday 22 November, 2008 12:45 PM
Bought it a few days ago, can't stop listening to it.
Perfectly mixed, unlike most albums these days. The bass and drums sound incredible, not to take anything away from the guitar and vocals.
Posted by Shaun Saturday 22 November, 2008 01:33 PM
I just bought the album today and have listened to it start to finish twice.
I LOVE THE THING!
Posted by Nathan Saturday 22 November, 2008 01:46 PM
I can't believe u all waited this long. We've had it 4 2 months.
Can't get enuff of Axl, the voice of rock!
Posted by andrew Saturday 22 November, 2008 04:21 PM
The best album I heard in a very long time. This album rocks!!!The album is great from start to finish!! GNR are back!! It was definitly worth the wait!!!!
Axl Rose is a genius!!
Posted by MaryAnne Saturday 22 November, 2008 04:32 PM
Haven't heard it yet, but am waiting to hear it.
Posted by Gavin Saturday 22 November, 2008 05:30 PM
Good Album 8/10. The guitarist Robin Finck has really changed Guns as it is a very much industrail rock as he is in Nine Inch Nails but this could be for the better. But I do enjoy the Slash days.
Overall good album but not worth the wait.
Posted by Josef Saturday 22 November, 2008 06:33 PM
It's been worth the wait..Axl has not disappointed. Listen to it with an open mind, not expecting to hear the old incarnation of GNR.
This album is quickly making its way up my "Best albums ever" list.
Posted by Bill Saturday 22 November, 2008 10:10 PM
Best album in over a decade. Awesome!
Posted by Wes Sunday 23 November, 2008 01:15 AM
Amazing good to see Gunners are back to some form. Loved it!!
Posted by Andrew Willis Sunday 23 November, 2008 09:24 AM
WOW
JUST... WOW
SO GOOD!
Posted by Wayne Sunday 23 November, 2008 09:48 AM
Is amazing, the album of the year and probably of the decade. Alx is a genius!!!!!!!
Posted by Ricardo Sunday 23 November, 2008 05:05 PM
I got it yesterday and haven't stopped listening to it. I didn't think I was going to enjoy it... but gee I am sooooo wrong!
All 14 tracks are amazing. I think my favourite at the moment would have to be 'This I love'... oh my god just so breath taking... but then again they are all just amazing...
I'd have to say this might even be in my top 5 albums.
I heard Sebastian Bach saying in an interview that there are 4 other new albums on the way... hope it's true, but I just hope we don't have to wait so long!
Posted by Fiona Sunday 23 November, 2008 05:32 PM
Well done Axl, this is a masterpiece. Best song 'This I Love'.
Posted by dan Sunday 23 November, 2008 08:35 PM
It's AXL ROSE SOLO! NOT GNR!
Posted by HornyHansel Sunday 23 November, 2008 09:02 PM
It's great. Everyones a winner. The stand outs I believe are 'Better' and 'Street of dream'.
Posted by greg Monday 24 November, 2008 11:53 AM
THE ROCK GOD IS BACK!
At first listen I thought this is a little off centre but now I can't get the songs out of my head. I want to listen to it all day long... and I'm no teeny bopper either going on 33 but I feel like I'm 16 again.
Love "This I Love", "Sorry", " Prostitute... the way the drums and guitar come in" etc.
Posted by Kamil Monday 24 November, 2008 12:07 PM
Oh my god! About damn time, it's just fantastic.
I stood outside of the shop for 30mins waiting for it to open to get the first copy. LOL
Axl is soooooo sexy yummy in my tummy.

Posted by hooch Monday 24 November, 2008 05:44 PM
Best album ever. Axl's a genius!
Posted by hooch Monday 24 November, 2008 10:28 PM
Great album. Took once or twice to swallow the whole thing, but now I really love it. Hope MMM put the singles in heavy rotation.
Posted by Chris Tuesday 25 November, 2008 12:40 PM
Naaa.. couldn't get into it. I'm too stuck in the 80's with AFD.
Axl seems far to up himself. Hasn't changed much.
Posted by Leesa Tuesday 25 November, 2008 12:56 PM
No where near Appetite but having said that it was 20yrs ago!!
A good rock album, but lacks the talents of Slash & Duff on guitar & bass.
It's a shame Axl messed around for so long as it could have been a real GNR album instead of a Rose album with part-time musicians.
Posted by SR Wednesday 26 November, 2008 09:59 AM
Nothing but crap.
Posted by Reg Wednesday 26 November, 2008 11:36 AM
Well about time Its a Great album,Well worth Listening to,But the money spent and the years?
Posted by Dave Wednesday 26 November, 2008 12:20 PM
If it took 15 years to get this level of quality, I'm hate to hear one made within 2 years.
Posted by Bill Wednesday 26 November, 2008 04:09 PM
Lost for words... Sensational...
Definite album of the year, AXL is GENIUS. Finally a proper GNR album. Rips Appetite apart.
Posted by Darren Wednesday 26 November, 2008 09:37 PM
Can't stop listening to it. It is sensational!
Posted by Lee Thursday 27 November, 2008 01:30 AM
Sounds like rubbish apart from 'Chinese Democracy'.
However, I'll reserve my opinion until I get the album and listen to all the songs in full. Sounds fine for old school rock lovers.
Posted by sum Thursday 27 November, 2008 11:43 AM
It is not a GNR album, they don't exist. It is an Axl Rose solo album, to call it anything else is just marketing BS.
Here's hoping it takes another 15 years before we hear from this tosser.
Posted by Ted Thursday 27 November, 2008 02:36 PM
To all you detractors... stop living in the past and listening to mediocre pop bands disguised as rock n roll.
Get a life that includes something other than watching Australian Idol. AXL ROCKS.
Posted by Darren Thursday 27 November, 2008 09:58 PM
Oh man, what is it with the huge egos of faded rock stars that makes them overproduce their 'music'. This is terrible, if they'd stopped after Appetite they'd have been legends forever. Instead now Axl has hair braids like a teenage girl on her first Bali trip.
Posted by JJ Friday 28 November, 2008 06:47 AM
Half the songs I liked straight away, the other half I hated. After a few more listens I now love the whole album (although some songs more than others). It does take a few listens to fully appreciate.
Anyway, I just wanna know why no Australian radio station is playing the singles? Are you afraid that people will think its uncool or something? Grow some balls guys!
Posted by Christian Friday 28 November, 2008 01:13 PM
Good album. I don't like it as much as the old stuff though. A lot of the songs are like Nine Inch Nails lite.
Posted by Gee Sunday 30 November, 2008 12:18 AM
I loved the old Gunners, but this new album is fantastic too! A great new sound, but you can still hear that it's them.
After 15 years, definitely worth the wait. Can't wait to go out and buy it!
Posted by LiL Sunday 30 November, 2008 11:41 AM
That was the biggest waste of seventeen years ever. Axl has taken the name built up by Slash, and used it to get money.
The songs are all edited with and stuffed around with and there are clearly no classics. I own every single album of GN'R and when I heard this I wanted to puke.
R.I.P Guns N' Roses, For You Were Once The Greatest Band In The World
Posted by Myles Sunday 30 November, 2008 08:26 PM
I was an absolute huge G'N'R fan, but their last concert was absolutely crap and Chinese Democracy, well is CRAP, maybe they need Slash back to wave a little of his magic and Axl to lost some self raucousness!
Posted by Rolf Monday 1 December, 2008 11:44 AM
This album rocks! I love it! Worth the wait, thanks again Axl. xxx
Posted by Sarah Rose Monday 1 December, 2008 02:46 PM
After getting most of the album over the past 5 years, the track "This I Love" is the only new & original track that I like. Already bored of the rest.
Posted by Summutha Wednesday 3 December, 2008 10:32 AM
The years of waiting 4 this rubbish!
Posted by simmo Wednesday 3 December, 2008 02:56 PM
