That was a hell of a storm last night. Tell The Cage what happened around your way.

Trees and rain literally blowing sideways. The effect of the water blowing on the cars made it look like it was in a wind tunnel when the tracer is released into the air. You could see the aerodynamics of the wind blowing over the cars. Simply awesome energy in the storm around my area.

We were on the Moreton Island to Brisbane Barge when the storm hit. The rain was so heavy there was no visability so the barge had to turn off the engines and stop until they could see again. It got pretty rocky and we were all soaked trying to get back to our cars on the lower deck.

We had a lucky escape... we were bushwalking that day up at Montville and struck the storm on the way back. The trip home was more of an adventure than the bushwalk!
My writeup on the storm is on my blog at http://stuartl.longlandclan.yi.org/blog/2008/11/19/sundays-storm/ with my photos online at http://gallery.longlandclan.yi.org/gallery.cgi/storm-20081116
Thanks to all the people who have helped in the cleanup, especially groups like the SES and the Police, who have done a hell of a lot of work over the past few days.

hey Marto and Skip! Thx for coming to help my boys out the other day! Seems the nearly miss of the trees was more of I can't see that much in the storm! Apparently, there was some damage to the tiles on the roof, causing the insulation to fill with water. The Living room and bathroom ceilings so far have filled with water and caved in! Apparently the rest are soon to follow! I need to get the $15grands worth of furniture that TJ and I invested in early this year into a safe place urgently! Aspparently the bottom floor of our house is safe, but we need plastic and boxes to store things in, man power to get the mmm was gonna say crap but clearly this is getting to me! $15grands worth of furniture and plenty more worth of belongings downstairs and all before the rain brings the roof down on my head!!!!!!!! How funny! Storm damage! : ) keep smiling girl thing! mobile 0434928090. H 33104329

Like evryone around here, my property is damaged and waterlogged, lost part of my roof on Sunday. Yesterday my office at Toowong went under about 30cm, so it's fun and games all round. Still nothing compared to the massive cleanup facing the lads at the Keperra Golf Course, which sustained even more damage in Wednesday's flooding. The bottom line is if they can't get it open again in the next few weeks, will they still have jobs? I'm sure they would appreciate any volunteers to assist, even an hour on the weekend would help. I hope everyone is staying safe, and keeping their chin up!
