We are Concorde Computers located in Strathpine, on Brisbane's northside.
We have seen a drop off in retail sales, with more people bringing there computers in for a service, rather than buying new.
This is still good however would really like to see our retail sales increase.
Thanks The Cage

I have recently taken over Caboolture Ice works and with the help of my friends and family have struggled through this first twelve months.
Being new to the Ice business we have managed to endure endless machinery breakdowns, unfavourable weather as well as a low profile in the local area which has been dominated by rival suppliers.
A lot of money and hardwork has gone in to transform Caboolture Ice with the hope of growing from a hobby to a thriving business. We are now able to provide quality ice products as well as friendly reliable service.
We are a wholesale/retail supplier with some of our products including party ice, block ice, dry ice (24hrs notice) and mobile coldroom hire. If you need Ice give us a call we will be happy to help!

I operate my own financial advice business focusing on Insurance & Superannuation.
I have been in business for myself for just 6 months and have started from scratch and am slowly trying to build relationships with clients.
I am finding that many people are looking for advice about the state of and what to do with their superannuation. The current economic climate is also a good time to review the cost of your current insurance as their are better and possibly cheaper products around these days.
There is no charge to discuss and review your situation. Appointments are available from 10am to 8pm Mon - Sat. I cover Brisbane, Gold Coast & Sunshine Coast. So please call Mark Smith on 0404 054900 anytime to arrange an appointment.

myself and my buisness partner Les Croucher took over a butchershop at centro Pinelands Sunnybank Hills about 6mths ago,and yes we are feeling the pinch.
there a huge number of customers around us but i dont think they know that we are here to offer the best possible meat for a resonable price.
People have curbed their spending habits so much over the last year due to increases in living costs, we've noticed that sausages and mince sales have increased yet other products have slowed.
Also lately, local current affair programs have been showing an array of stories ranging from dodgy butchers selling substitute products instead of the real thing (the case of not really veal and not sirloin steaks - a current affair Mon 3rd Nov),
this impacts the good butchers around the place and makes it harder.
We'd like to have a plug on the cage to let people know where we are and that we're ready to offer them the best possible product at reasonable prices.
SO THATS PINELANDS QUAULITY MEATS AT SUNNYBANK HILLS 33452027 ASK FOR CHARD OR LES.

Country accommodation - 50% opening discount if booked before the end of November (min 2 night stay). We have just started a country holiday house on our farm. We run a dairy farm in Kerry just over an hour from Brisbane. We have struggled to stay in business for the last 8 years through deregulation of the dairy industry and drought - our farm has gone from supporting 3 families to one.
Recently we decided that it was not good business sense to have all our eggs in the dairying basket . Our visitors have always loved cooling off in our huge swimming holes in our river and exploring the mountains and hills so we thought - why not open it up to everyone.
My brother Nathan who runs Green Triangle Experiences takes all the bookings for us but unfortunately the economic downturn has made it a slow start .
So if you would like a relaxing holiday soaking up our beautiful farm views and cooling off in the river over summer please contact us on FREE CALL 1800 503 475 or visit the website www.greentriangle.com.au

Please help my business take off.
My business is called Visual Serenades and as the name suggests I am in the business of making multimedia slideshows for all occasions. I use your photos, home movies, and choice of music to take you back in time.
I specialise in "This is Your Life" type shows for wedding receptions, birthdays and anniversaries as well as "Where are they now" shows for School and Family Reunions.
With Christmas upon us - a "The year that Was" show would be a great way to show absent family what you have been up to over the last 12 months.
Perhaps your business marketing could be given a face lift. Why not try a promotional show to send to clients or for direct marketing purposes.
I also transfer slides, photos and negatives to CD/DVD as well as VHS tapes and some 8mm tapes.
What better gift could you give the person with everything.
Please call Donna at Visual Serenades on 3423 0013 or email visual_serenades@bigpond.com.

Hi guys.
We are the owners of a driving school in Brisbane called myWheels Driving School.
Since opening our doors early this year, we have experienced a huge amount of growth, which I believe is due to our unwavering commitment to excellence in every aspect of our service. No grumpy old men here! We love getting to know our students and working with them towards their goal of obtaining a drivers licence.
The problem that we are facing is that we can't find anyone to work with us! We are getting enquiries from all over Brisbane that we just can't service, which is really disappointing, as we don't like letting people down.
We are looking for fun-loving, enthusiastic, committed driving instructors who really enjoy their work. If you have existing students, so much the better!
Our contracting system is quite different to all the others. Even though you would be a self-employed contractor, you do not need an ABN. Nor do you need to spend your spare time doing BAS paperwork. Unlike contracting systems that are used by other driving schools, our system ensures that you will be free to enjoy the benefits of being self-employed without the hassles.
If you know of anyone who might like to work with us, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE ask them to contact us on 1300 799 849 or email us at info@mywheelsdrivingschool.com.au
Sincere thanks
Julie Walker

Hi Cage, we're a relatively new (less than one year) musical instrument business so everything's tough for us in these early stages.
We specialise in the education market (band and orchestra instruments) mainly for school kids. We really wanted to make a difference by selling good quality gear at the best prices we can, cause we're really worried about the heaps of poor quality stuff (particularly from Ebay) that is getting around these days. The poor quality instruments can't be played by ANYONE let alone a young child so we're really passionate about doing the right thing.
We really believe in what we're doing (and would really like to STAY in business) so would appreciate any help we could get.
We're located at Taringa (with parking!) and can be contacted on 3871 1333 or on the web: www.yourmusicstore.com.au

Hi Cage, I bought a takeaway in Sandgate last year and have worked to turn the business around. We do great value fish & chips as well as salads and sandwiches with espresso coffee coming online very soon. What we are very proud of and best known for are our burgers. For those who remember what a real burger was like when they didn't come frozen from a factory, you will love our hamburger. We also use rib fillet on our steak burgers!
We thought we'd keep the name simple so we called it "THAT TAKEAWAY" located at 66 DEAGON STREET Sandgate, just up from Douwse Lagoon and only a few blocks from the waterfront. So "WHY PAY WATERFRONT PRICES?" when we offer great service and excellent value for money and your food will still be hot when you get to the waterfront. Oh and good old fashioned service.......DAMN RIGHT!
Open 7 days. Phone orders welcome, 3260 2880.
Thanks CAGE, love your work!

Hi Cage
I have a small business - Distant Travellers, 569 Oxley Avenue, Scarborough 4019 - and I sell everything - clothing - handbags - jewellery - homewares - giftwares. 99% of my goods are sourced from overseas - and the best part is they are one off's at affordable prices - I also have my own range as I am a dressmaker - I do all the travelling to source the goods - I also support an orphanage in Thailand. What this downturn means to me is that
people are holding on to their money - all retailers face tough times late January through February - but this year will be worse. With the $ the way it is it makes it more difficult for me to travel to buy goods to sell - no stock, no sales.
Thanks for listening

We are a new business which started in July this year. We offer a wide range automatic transmission repairs. We have free diagnoses. We have free pick up in a 30 klm range. With the prices of new and used cars it might be cheaper to keep the vehicle you have now on the road. We are a small shop and can offer lower prices than the avarage transmission shop in Brisbane.

Hi all,
We are a family owned and operated mechanic who's been in the business for 45 years. Business used to be like clockwork, you could predict slow and busy times and adjust for them accordingly but the last two years have been so erratic! With the cost of living skyrocketing who can blame everyone for putting car maintenance way down on the priority list. Hopefully we can help with that! We are an honest and reliable mechanic who can help you keep car maintenance costs down. We prefer to educate our customers so that they can maintain in between servicing and prevent expensive repairs. We can also service new cars that are still under warranty without affecting your new car warranty. (we recently saved one of our new customers $500 on a log book service)
Please check out our website www.dixonautomotive.com.au or give us a call, 3343 6772 we'd love to hear from you! Look forward to saving you some money!

My business is April Bella Motorcycle Wear 4 Women located in Beerburrum. We are only 6 months young and already have a great client base. I know that there are 1000's more women riders out there who would love to know that there is a shop that caters only to them. I know that radio advertising would be the number 1 way to get the word out and have been saving for that, though since the dollar falling that savings has now gone into extra unexpected costs. I have a notice board at my shop where other business's can leave their cards. It is surprising to see how many people read and take cards from it. Anything that anyone can do for another, no matter how small really does make a difference! I wish you all the best in these hard times. K

Hi, Myself and 2 other business partners started a new business 18 months ago providing healthy meal options for young children.
We currently offer our services to childcare centres, tuckshops and home deliveries for kids parties (a healthy alternative to Maccas)
We are Brisbane based but at present also deliver food to 2 daycare centres in Ipswich with a third to follow early in the new year.
Our motto is " Partnering with Parents & the Community to Help Achieve Optimum Health and Wellbeing for Children"
It is a constant struggle to change the attitudes of parents who believe it is more convenient and cheaper to just throw in some chips, a can of drink and a sandwich for their childrens daily meals while at school or in daycare but we are passionate about making a difference to childrens lives. It is amazing what a difference healthy food can make to a childs health and behaviour.
Any childcare centres or school tuckshops out there that would like to provide healthy meal alternatives for their children, please ring Natalie or Neil at Yummies for Little Tummies Pty Ltd on 07 3161 0585. or check out our website. www.y4lt.com.au.
We take all the hassle out of providing meals for your children and deliver when you need it.
Thanks for the Small Business support Cage.
